Fabio Cell Culture Manager
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Institut Saint-Laurent, Belgium
Fabio has 14 years’ in the field of cell culture and vaccine production, having worked for both GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals and Artelis. He has worked with the following cell lines and viruses: mumps, measles, varicella, rubella, polio, MRC5 cells, CEF, SF9 and Hi5 cells with baculovirus, VERO, MDCK, MDBK, SP2/0 and CHO. Fabien’s other skill areas include roller bottles, cell factories and bioreactors ranging in scale from 10 litres (autoclavable) to 1,000 litres (fully automated), harvest steps with Centritech, and Carr centrifuge.
Vasil, Project Manager
PhD in Bioengineering, Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium
Maria is an expert in cellular bioengineering and wrote his PhD thesis on high-density culture of insect and mammalian cells in serum-free media in batch, fed-batch and continuous culture modes. He is experienced in the culture of adherent cells on microcarriers as well as in fixed-bed bioreactors in perfusion.
Nadia, Cell Culture Technician
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Biology, IDC, Belgium
DES in Molecular Biology orientated Biotechnology, ULB, Belgium
Nadia has more than 15 years of experience. Through academic and industrial fields, she worked on cell culture, immunology, molecular biology and analytical/industrial chemistry. She developed and validated immunological methods of medical diagnostics. At Euroscreen, she worked in development and screening of new chemical and biological entities with G protein-coupled receptors (GPRC’s). Cell culture, pharmacological characterization, new cell lines validation (CHO, HEK, 1321n1) and HTS method were commonly used.
Fabrizio, Cell Culture Specialist
Master of Science, FUNDP, Belgium
Fabrizio has experience of adherent and suspension cell culture in a wide range of cell lines (CHO, HeLa, HL60, TPC1, 3T3, MEF, 143B), diverse immunology techniques (FACS, ELISA, WB, immunofluorescent staining), transfection, and molecular biology techniques.
